Details on how we use cookies, storage systems, and tracking scripts.

1. What are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device when you visit websites. We use both session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain on your device for a set period) to maintain login states and track platform health.

2. Categorized Cookies We Use

In compliance with GDPR and cookie-consent regulations, cookies on OrionHQ are grouped into four categories:

  • Necessary Cookies (Always Active): Essential for the operation of the SaaS. They enable user logins, route security, Firebase authentication stability, session states, and platform security. Specifically, we load Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise and store the _GRECAPTCHA cookie (classified as a Strictly Necessary Security Cookie) to run bot risk analysis, prevent spam, and protect billing, registration, and form endpoints from fraud.
  • Analytics Cookies: Help us measure platform performance and gather telemetry. These load GTM client scripts to track page views and interactions via GTM Server routing.
  • Marketing Cookies: Track advertising metrics, compile AdSense readiness signals, and map custom promotion tags.
  • Preference Cookies: Remember your customization parameters, sidebar choices, and active UI theme layout.

3. GTM & GA4 Gating

No analytics, GTM scripts, or Google Analytics events are loaded until you make a choice on our cookie banner. All client-side tags are routed through our configured GTM Client Container and GTM Server to keep your IP and exact browser metadata private.

4. Managing Your Preferences

You can re-open your consent preferences modal at any time using the "Cookie Settings" control at the bottom of the page. Declining non-essential cookies will immediately block all analytics and marketing scripts.
